Rainbow cake

On this video I demonstrate how to make this delicious colourful cake that you can make with your kids at home. The recipe is simple and you can use it for different other cakes like vanilla, chocolate or lemon.

Rainbow Cake:

Serves 6:

Ingredients:
4 Eggs
250g Sugar (1 1/2 cups)
200ml Vegetable Oil (3/4 cup)
250 ml Milk (1 cup)
300g Ajab Self Raising Flour (2 1/3 cup)
Food Colour
 
Method:
Set and preheat the oven to 180ºC. Butter and line round/square baking tin with a grease proof paper/foil.
Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl using the whisk attachment of the ramtons hand blender for about 30 seconds
Add the oil and milk and whisk into the egg mixture
Sift the flour and mix into the liquid mix to form a pourable batter.
Divide the batter into 6 equal parts then add the food colours and mix completely
Pour a little of the cake mixes with the different colours at the centre of the tin and let it spread freely. Repeat the procedure until all the cake mix is done and try to pour 3 times each for more colours in the cake. 
Bake the cake in a preheated oven for an hour or until a small knife inserted comes out dry and the cake is browned on the outside.
The time is determined by the tin you use and how deep the cake is.
Allow to cool and serve.
